Jonas Brothers Stop By The White House, Encourage Kids To Get Active

Thousands visit every year, but very few leave a permanent mark on the White House. The brave and intelligent men and women who shape history. The powerful leaders of the free world.

The popular trio, Nick, Joe and Kevin, were in Washington, D.C., on Monday (August 18) to attend a briefing on diabetes and tape a public-service announcement about national parks, CNN reported. While there, they signed their names to the wall of a swimming pool that was also signed by, among others, first lady Laura Bush.
"There's other names up there that are just astounding, some of our favorite artists and politicians," Joe Jonas told the news network. "But it's going to be really cool to see that in 10 years, 20 years from now."
In the end, the Jonas Brothers might not be the most famous graffiti artists in the world, but you wouldn't know it from the sensation their appearance caused at the White House. According to CNN, Vice President Dick Cheney even brought his three granddaughters to meet the singing siblings.
It wasn't all fun and games for the famous brothers, though, who have visited the White House under less serious circumstances twice before, both times in 2007. For Nick Jonas, who suffers from diabetes, the morning briefing was a chance to learn more about the disease while solidifying his image as the face of the illness, he said, insisting that those afflicted have to stick together to make it through.
"A lot of kids feel lonely when they first get diagnosed with diabetes. I'm just so encouraged at the end of the day because all I'm trying to do is make it through another day managing diabetes," Nick Jonas told CNN. "They're just doing the same thing. We're all there for each other."
Nick was diagnosed with diabetes when he was 13.
Also important, they stressed, was a chance to tell kids about exercise, which they did in a PSA encouraging children to visit national parks.

"We run around onstage constantly for about an hour and 45 minutes, and we know what that can do. You just feel great at the end of the night and when you wake up in the morning," Kevin Jonas told the White House press corps.
So given that they've visited the Bush White House three times, and are noted Evangelical Christians, does that mean they'll be voting Republican?
Not so fast, Kevin said, refusing to endorse either candidate for this year's election.
"But we do — me and Joe are both of voting age — so we do endorse voting, getting to know the issues, learning about the candidates and [making] a decision for yourself," he said.

The Jonas Brothers' Wax Appeal

The Jonas Brothers:Kevin;Joe and Nick showed up for the unveiling of their very own wax figures at Madame Tussauds in Washington, D.C., on Monday. While the band has only been out for a few years, this a great accomplishment.
The first 50 rabid fans allowed into the exhibit from pawing at the faux bros. The exhibit does a great job of capturing the JoBros in wax.

Jonas Brothers Talk About Girlfriends, TV Series, Ben Stiller Flick On 'TRL'

There are tons of girls out there who would die to know how to win the hearts of theJoBros. And they'd better listen up, because the boys gave a primer on "TRL" Wednesday (August 13), as part of the show's Jonas Brothers Fan Week.
Want to date Kevin? Save the whining for your friends. "We're not ever really with people 'cause we're always traveling," Kevin said. "And you get on the phone and they're like, 'My day is awful, blah,' and you're like, 'This is not what I need right now!' "
Joe has a similar stipulation for his potential love interests. "This is hard, but if they are nagging and annoying, you're like, 'Go away.' "
Well, 15-year-old Nick has a slightly more charitable requirement. "They have to be good to their moms," he said.
This information may come into play when the boy take their act to their forthcoming Disney Channel television series. Earlier this year, Joe talked their up coming show : "We are secret agents, and our cover is that we're a band." The series was tentatively titled "J.O.N.A.S." ( Junior Operatives Networking As Spies), but now it appears that approach has been changed.
"The concept is going to change a little bit," Kevin said. "Everyone knew it was going to be about spies, and that's changed a little bit, I guess, 'cause in the course of the last two years, the band has changed a little bit. We're going to be the Jonas Brothers going through life — like, going to school, but still being the Jonas Brothers."
The brothers also revealed that they recently met "Tropic Thunder" star Ben Stiller, and that a collaboration could be in the works.(yayy) "I love Ben Stiller and we met him just recently," Joe said. "We were talking with him about doing a movie."
Speaking of collaborations, the dudes recently worked with new Disney star, Demi Lovato on her album. JB said it was a great experience ,but a tad bit strange. "It was weird writing a song talking about a boy!" Joe laughed. Kevin added, "We were like, 'So this is what girls go through.' "
Also, the guys have just announced that they will be joining Miley Cyrus Nick's ex, to co-headline the Concert for Hope benefit on September 14. The concert will help benefit the cancer research and treatment organization City of Hope. Helping others seems to be very important to the Jonas Brothers.

The Jonas Brothers shut down NYC's Apple Store!

What was the star power to shut down an Apple Store in Manhattan? No, not a major computer virus,, it's the Jonas Brothers.
Tuesday night—the day the band’s third album, A Little Bit Longer, went on sale—the trio drew in the masses to NYC's SoHo Apple Store for a "private" performance. Interestingly enough, the hour-long set wasn’t announced publicly until Tuesday morning, yet insatiable fans had been lined up since Monday night. The gals put their dedication on display: While the Brothers sang "When You Look Me in the Eyes," one group of very excited fans held a sign that proudly screamed, "Here since 4 a.m.!" The insane thing about all this, too, is that most of the attending fans had already seen the JoBros somewhere else during the week: The Apple Store show was merely the cherry on top of the week of Jonasmania in NYC, highlighted by the band's guest-hosting stint on TRL, a Good Morning America concert that drew 15,000 eardrum-busting fans into the city's Bryant Park, and three sold-out shows at the lovely Madison Square Garden.
The Apple Store event, however, was intimate—and the perfect celebration at the end of a day that saw their new album, A little Bit Longer hit N0.1 on both Amazon and iTunes by early morning. Their first, out-of-print album, meanwhile, now fetches up to $350 on sites like eBay. I'm guessing that’s approximately three months’ worth of the average tween’s allowance. Just 450 fans—including a Croc-wearing Harry Connick Jr. and his very happy daughter—were allowed inside (free of charge, i might add) for the 12-song Apple Store set, set-off by "That's Just the Way We Roll." Hands down, though, the screaming fans, most of them wearing puff-paint covered t-shirts, while nearby adults inserted ear plugs, most enjoyed "A Little Bit Longer," the ballad Nick wrote about his battle with diabetes. Several diabetic girls were in the crowd, as evidenced by shirts that proclaimed things like, "I'm Not Diabetic! I'm Sugar Challenged!"

Nick' s Cool Wish List

Nick's bday comes a few weeks after the "Burnin' Up" Tour ends, so he was a little bit unsure on where he would be on September 16, his birthday. The cutie is hoping that his older brothers get him something. " We always try to get each other something," Nick tells J-14. " We're brother, but we have our ways of getting gifts wherever we are."

Nick's bream to score a car. "I'm going to start driving soon, and green is definitley the way to go," states Nick. Perhaps someone should drop some hints to Joe and Kevin.

The Jonas Like the Same Type of Girl

The Jonas Brothers have been very busy lately. Between promoting their third album, touring, and beginning production their own TV show, J.O.N.A.S, the JoBros don't time to sit still, let alone a date.

Months of touring have kept the boys bonding, especially over girls. All three of the brothers like the same type: a smart, funny girl who can understand their very demanding schedule.

"Someone who can make you laugh and be okay with just talking to you on the phone for a while instead of seeing you." spills Kevin to J-14.

While Kevin is hands down the most talkative of the brothers, Nick knows the true importance of phone minutes as well." I want an intellectual girl who I can have a nice conversation with, because we'll talk more on the phone than in person," states Nick. " Looks don't really matter as long as the heart is right."

Even though the brother have very similar taste, their personalities come out when flirting especially Joe's. "He'll walk up to a girl on the street and say, 'Hey how are you doing?'" Kevin dishes. " Then the girl and look...as she;s supposed to know who he is! It's really funny.." "Twenty percent of the time they think I'm weird," Joe admits. Nick likes to be a tad bit subtle. " I just take a different approach instead of being obnoxious!" jokes the curly-haired cutie.

Well there you have it the JoBros want a sweet very understanding girlfriend, I'm sure that there are many fans who could fit that role.

The Jonas Brothers head to London

One of Jonas Brother's favorite moments ever occurred while they group was touring in Europe, the guys played an acoustic set on top of an open-air double decker bus in central London. After the ride was over the JoBros headed to HMV music store to play a free show for 280 people, weren't they lucky. The band was amazed be the warm reception from their fans across the pond. The blogged," They were so loud!"

Yep. Today is Joe's Birthday. The hot singer has turned 19. I would just like to wish Joe a very happy birthday and to continue to have mega success on the "Burnin' Up Tour"!

Miley Cyrus New Confession: Nick and I Were in Love!

It's no shock to me that Miley Cyrus has finally come clean that she and Nick Jonas dated. However, she does have everyone talking about it this morning because of her new, very candid, and detailed remarks in the September issue of Seventeen Magazine.
The star of Hannah Montana opens up like she has never before about her and Nick's two-year long relationship.
"Nick and I loved each other," Miley says in the magazine. "We still do, but we were in love with each other. For two years he was basically my 24/7. But it was really hard to keep it from people. We were arguing a lot, and it really wasn’t fun.”
Cyrus says it was love at first sight. “We became boyfriend and girlfriend the day we met," she said. "He was on a quest to meet me, and he was like, ‘I think you’re beautiful and I really like you.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, I like you so much.’ "
And like most teenagers in love (she and Nick are only 15!), Miley didn't take the breakup very well. She says she "went into this weird funk" and "bawled" for a month. On the day they called it quits, she dyed her black because Nick apparently liked it when she had highlights.
"I was like, I want to make my hair black now—I don’t want to look pretty; I want to look hard core," Miley remembers. "I was rebelling against everything Nick wanted me to be. And then I was like, I’ve got to be by myself for now, and just figure out who I really am.”
The fact the Miley change her hair color (according to her because Nick) says a lot about her as a person. Just because a guy tells you to do something you do it? If he had asked her to jump off of a bridge, would she have done it? Miley needs to remember that she has young fans, and that by her changing her looks for a guy is the wrong message to send.
In another part of the article it seems she still wants to be alone. When I spoke to Miley last week, she said she had "too much going on right now" to think about boys.
"I'm just not, like, into it right now," she said. "I'm just, like, happy to be single. I like to have fun and just be able to hang out with someone if I want to and not feel like I have to call someone 24/7…I have five brothers and sisters that I love with all my heart, so right now I just want to focus on them."
After fully ready these article twice, I still can not understand want Miley wants. At one point all she talks is Nick and the relationship, and next she is talking about how she thinks it is “sexy” to be single.
Nick, however, has reportedly moved on. Though they deny it, Nick and Selena Gomez are said to be more than just friends.
So why has Miley decided to reveal so much at this very moment? Says a source, "She's over him, so she doesn't care anymore."
A rep for Nick did not immediately comment. I beind a fan of Nick and his brothers would still like to know what he thinks about her tell-all article.

Who's Burnin' Up as a Cop?

I thought this edition of "Guess who?" was going to be a real challenge. Then we realized the impossibly tight pants, slip-on Vans and screaming girls in the background would make this cop's true identity a little too obvious , if you know what i mean.
But let's have fun and play anyway.
Can you guess this guy behind that faux mustache? Joe Jonas was out shooting a segment for his upcoming 3-D movie yesterday, in which he plays the cop in the Village People. I really want to see Nick dressed up also, and maybe Kevin as a cowboy when the movie opens in February.

You best believe I bought a copy the first day, and I gotta say, it's a great album and that these guys worked really hard. I have to say , that hands down that it is a fantastic album. This album allows us to see another side of the cute trio. The Jonas Brothers never cease to amaze us with all of their talent. I am sure that their movie well not be any different.

Kevin is my new hero! Before a concert in Madison Square Garden, Kevin Jonas adding more fuel to the fire by sporting a ‘Team Demi and Selena’ shirt. This shirt has led many to believe that Kevin is not on Miley’s side, but on the side of Disney’s up and coming starlets, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovatto. I wonder if the other Jonas Brothers feel the same way as Kevin?

Joe and Taylor?

The rumor going around is that Joe Jonas is dating Taylor Swift. There is no evidence to support these rumors, but their close relationship on the Burning Up tour led many to believe that the two singers are an item. So whether all the reports are true, truth be told I think that Joe and Taylor would make a great match!

Jonas Brothers Best Month Ever!!!

Touring, a hot new album, and birthday surprises all in one month! The Jonas Bros were all smiles when they sat down for an interview with the “tween” magazine, Twist, while they were in NYC. A Little Bit Longer hits stores today. Nick told Twist, “’John’s Piazza in West Village is one of our favorite places to eat.’” After NYC the boys are headed to upstate New York, where Joe will be turning 19 on August 15! Joe has one special gift request, “’ I want an elephant for my birthday!’” Joe kids. The 22nd of August is a big day, That is the day that their video “Love Bug” will premiere on the Disney Channel. But then, their back on the road as the “Burning Up” tour continues on through September 5th. Last but certainly not least, Nick will be turning 16 on September 16!!

The Secret Side of the Jonas Brothers

Jonas Brother fans all know that each brother has their own personality: Nick is the shy one; Joe is the jokester; and Kevin is the mature older brother. In any interview with Twist the boys opened up in a whole new way. “’ Nick is not as shy as everyone thinks,’” Joe tells Twist.
“I know how to be silly!” stated Nick. Nick may not be super-secure in front of huge screaming crowds, but when he’s just hanging out with his bros, he knows how to have a good time. “’ I show my funny side in YouTube videos like “The Nick J Show”, spills Nick. “’ We were in the back lounge of our bus when we filled it, and, I don’t know, I just kind of went out of character!’”

There are times thought that he just wants to be a kid. “’ I like when Joe, Nick, and I play Wiffle ball inside the arenas where we have our shows,’” shares Kevin. “’ We’ll have homerun contests and smack the ball from the stage into the stands. It’s lots of fun.’”
Now more than ever, the Jonas Brothers have been feeling more comfortable with how they are. “’ We want our fans to see that we’re just normal guys who love what they do,’” Kevin Jonas shares with Twist. When filming Camp Rock, the girls of the cast were getting manicures and in comes Joe Jonas himself, an insider told J-14. “’ He was like, “How come no one invited me? Can I get a pedicure?” And we were like, “ Yeah , I guess,” So the woman was like “what color?” Before he could answer we were like, “We’re feeling the pink.” And he’s like.” Uh, I would …but tomorrow I have to shoot the scene where I get out of the pool and you’ll see my toes, so that would be awkward.” Before shows the brothers often go out for manis and pedis. So Cute!!

To some of you this may be a complete shocker, but as cute as Kevin Jonas is, growing up he was a self professed nerd! “ I was a total nerd,” spills Kevin to J-14 magazine. “ Everyone used to make fun of me. I had large Spock- like ears growing up. I had to grow into my ears. I had glasses, and no one would let me be in their band. It was kind of funny. The media is a buzz with news that Selena Gomez, of Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place, and Nicks Jonas, of the ultra hot boy band The Jonas Brothers could be an item.
The two Disney stars continue to deny a romance between them. However, it looks like Selena might have slipped a little and revealed her true feelings. When gossip website liesangeles.com told the teen star that she and the youngest Jonas Brother "make a cute couple," she smiled and said, "Thanks!"And she didn't stop there, gushing about her maybe-boyfriend: "He is a very good-hearted guy and he's very passionate about what he does.”
Considering Miley Cyrus' revelation in the upcoming Seventeen magazine that she and Nick had previously dated and "were in love," who knows when these two will fully come clean?

Jonas Brothers Host Blogging Event for MTV 8/11/08

Calling all JoBros fans! For the first time ever MTV will be document the Jonas Brothers by way of streaming live video content on the internet and on T.V. in real time!
Jonas Brothers: Live & Mobile will begin on Friday at 4 p.m. ET through Saturday, August 9, from 8 a.m. through 8 p.m. when the band headlines at Madison Square Garden.
Fans who want to get in on this exciting action can visit jonasbros.mtv.com or stay tuned to MTV to see it on T.V. The Jonas Brothers will also be giving feedback to a few lucky posters on the site's interactive wall throughout the day.

Camp Rock 2? 8/11/08

The Jonas Brothers are hoping for Camp Rock 2, a long with millions of Camp Rock fans. If the Jonas Brothers have their way, a Camp Rock sequel will begin filming soon, Joe Jonas tells EW.com.
"We've been looking into scheduling when we can do that because we've been busy with touring, but we would love to," Joe, 18, said at Sunday's Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles. "The success from the first one – we did not expect that at all, and the possibility of a second movie would be great."
When Joe was asked about a potential plotline for a Camp Rock sequel, he stated, "maybe, like, a rival camp."
Meaghan Jette Martin, co-star in Camp Rock agreed with Joe. I really hope they come back. A lot of the Disney people [have talked about a sequel], and I've heard rumors about scripts and stuff. I would really like a love interest."
A Rep for Disney confirmed that a Camp Rock 2 is in the works, and that The Jonas Brothers would really like to premiere the movie in Central Park and serve pizza from their favorite New York restaurant.
How cute! Well there you have it the Jonas Brothers wanted a Camp Rock and that’s what they are getting.

Kevin, Joe, and Nick Rock out for a Good Cause 8/11/08

Christie Brinkley and Kelly Ripa caught up with the Jonas Brothers on Saturday when the three heartthrobs performed in East Hampton, N.Y., at a concert benefiting the Tony Ross School.
“Kelly and her kids are huge fans," says a source who attended the $1,500-a-ticket fundraiser.
“Kelly said, 'I'll do anything for the Jonas Brothers! They have made my kids so happy! And I just want to be onstage to see what it's like to be a rock star!'"
The intimate show drew 650 screaming fans, Ripa, her beautiful daughter Lola and few of Lola’s close friends “rocked out for more than an hour. They didn't stop dancing the whole time!” spills Ripa.
Also in attendance were the newly divorced Christie Brinkley and her ex Peter Cook.
"It was his weekend with the kids so she came to the concert with her son, Jack, a half hour before doors opened and met the band," said a source of People Magazine. "Then she left and Peter, who brought their daughter, Sailor with him, stayed at the concert with the kids.
Little Miss Sunshine star Abigail Breslin was also another fan that couldn't wait to see her favorite band, The Jonas Brothers.
"She is a HUGE fan," says another source. "She was so excited to be there. She was swarmed by fans afterward who wanted her autograph."
The feeling was mutual. "The Jonas Brothers wanted a picture of them with her. They are big fans of hers."
Lil’ bro to Lindsey Lohan, Cody Lohan, wanted a front row seat to see the band and got it. ”hen he came in, he pushed his way up to the front of the stage. Dina kept saying, 'I lost him!' Cody was having the best time."
Well it is clear to see that just about everyone loves the Jonas Brothers, even fellow celebs.

Nick Jonas: ‘Anything is possible, even with Diabetes’

The Jonas Brothers are putting their rock star fame towards a great cause, one that is very close to their hearts.
The Jonas Brothers partnered with Bayer Diabetes Care to send some encouragement to youth that with Diabetes. They were also there to spread awareness on diabetes, the disease that Nick was diagnosed with at the age of only 13.
Nick told People magazine, “I thought, ‘Why me?’ I didn’t know how to handle it”. After experiencing sudden and dramatic weight loss and behavioral changes, the pop-rock star was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in late 2005.
“I didn’t know anyone with diabetes,” stated Nick, “ There was no familiar face in music or sports that I could connect with…I started to see it as an opportunity to be an inspiration to a generation that doesn't openly talk about having diabetes and not feeling embarrassed by the disease."
Having Diabetes means that Nick has to check his blood sugar levels whenever it is necessary, even if that means checking it while performing. “At a concert a couple of days ago Nick had a low onstage," said his big brother Kevin, 20. "He said, 'I need a second to stall,' so I kept talking [to the audience] until he gave us the sign that he was O.K."
What is Nick’s main message to others, "To be able to live my dream by being in a band shows that anything is possible," he said. "Even if you have diabetes." While Nick does have a disease that there is currently no cure for he does have the love and support of family and fans.
